Massimiliano (alias Max/Maximus)

Born and bred in Rome, Massimiliano Francia studied greek-roman Archaeology at the roman University “La Sapienza” and started his tour-guiding career in 1995. Taking, across Rome, barbaric italian school-children for 4 years helped him learn a profession which he believes to be relaxing and rewarding.
His expertise is Ancient Rome: its Religion, Politics, Military, Science, Society and – last but not least – Gladiators.
He’s a Roman Catholic, but loves investigating pagan spirituality.
His favourite site out of Rome is the Wall of Hadrian, his favourite way of guiding tourists is to be found in London.
His project has been, for years, the one of creating a new way to show Rome around, along with some collegues, old friends and excellent Tour-Guides.
Max is proud to offer “Rome Tours Nobody Gives”!
